The color is a crimson with a deep purple rim. Very attractive complex blend of spice, pepper and violet aromas. The palate shows great depth and richness of flavor, with the fresh and ripe blackberry flavors perfectly complemented by the lovely silky tannins and subtle well integrated French oak. The finish is wonderfully long and lingering. Already supple and drinkable now, or cellaring for a further 10 to 12 years will add extra dimension to this fine Frankland River Shiraz. A delicious wines to serve with a aged porterhouse steak, served medium rare, a rack of lamb or medium flavored cheeses. (Holiday Tax Exempt)
